We are actively looking for prospective PhD students and post-doctoral fellows to join our efforts to revolutionize molecular imaging using hyperpolarized contrast agents produced using parahydrogen and laser lights as inexpensive sources of hyperpolarization. Our lab has a state-of-the-art NMR and MRI instrumentations: parahydrogen generators, 129Xe hyperpolarizers, low-field and bench-top NMR spectrometers (x3), a number of automated setups (PHIP and SABRE hyperpolarizers) for low-field NMR spectroscopy and imaging, 0.35 T clinical MRI scanner, 0.05 T MRI scanner in over 3,000 sq. ft. facility in two different locations.
The post-doctoral position is available as early as January 2021 (subject to any COVID-19 hiring restrictions by Wayne State University). The post-doctoral position is available for a period of 2-3 years. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is interested in working independently on a number of federally funded projects. PhD in chemistry, physics or closely related field is required. We are looking for a team player with good communication and writing skills. Salary: $50,000/year + excellent benefits package offered by Wayne State University.
